A French movie with English subtitles. I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I'm a big fan of movies that have depth and I believe this is one of them.
The main messages are, love, loyalty, friendship and money can't buy you happiness. Sure, many, many movies portray this, but this flick felt much more real than most others. It was fresh and full of heart.
As the movie is in french, the profanity is essentially inaudible (unless you're fluent in french - I know a bit of French and most swearwords were inaudibly mumbled). There are no sex scenes, only infrequent joking around the subject. Some drug use that includes alcohol and marijuana.
After watching the movie, I can only assume that the "R" rating comes from a few too many "F" words. Aside from that, it's a great flick. Refreshing.
