I'd say it's worth your time if you enjoyed the books and want to see them on screen. Otherwise, the irony of this movie franchise is not lost on me. It's based on Susan Collins' dystopian novels where a society is so obsessed with being entertained, they are willing to watch people kill each other for sport. And then we turn the books into movies where we watch people kill for sport. It's a pretty disturbing concept if you think about it.
However, for the amount of violence described in the books, I personally think the it's rather tastefully done, and thankfully not as gory as it could be. I don't recall much profanity, but there is a scene where someone removes clothing that could be awkward. Definitely not for younger teens.
