Talk about a minimalist movie. This is the story of one man (Robert Redford) trying to survive in the Indian Ocean on his damaged sailboat. That’s it. It’s like “Cast Away” without a volleyball named Wilson to talk to. If that film drove you nuts, then you’ll crawl up the walls watching this one. But for me, there’s something incredibly interesting about a man’s efforts to think his way out of a difficult situation.
