This is a fun little Indian fairytale about a boy raised by wolves, interacts with other Jungle creatures to ultimately realize that he is human and belongs with humans. There are some really good messages that will resonate with older and younger viewers alike. Balloo in particular adds a nice flare of comic relief to the whole film that is very appealing. The only complaint i have is about the wolves that raised him. They seemed a bit uncaring, and quickly turned him out when Mogely became an inconvenience. Despite this The Jungle Book is a great family film. I give this a PG rating for frightening animal violence involving the tiger, and because the main character is essentially walking around the entire time in what amounts to undies. Sure it was his jungle circumstances, but still. I'd rather not have my son striping down to his underwear whenever it suits him.
