If you've enjoyed the other "Mission: Impossible" movies, there isn't much to not like in this one.
Here Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is broken out of a Russian jail and then in a simple mission, the Kremlin blows up and he and his team is faulted for it. The agency is disbanded and the team must act on its own to stop a nuclear annihilation of humankind. It has seemingly impossible stunts as they go from Russian to Saudi Arabia to India, along with new characters to add to the fray.
If you liked the other "Mission: Impossible" movies or other action movies that border on the improbable, then there shouldn't be anything not to like about this one.

However, I've lost track of the number of "Mission Impossible" movies there are.

The plot was not that original, lots of action and it leaves you on the edge of your seat most of the movie. Entertaining but I would not pay to see it again in the theaters.

I don't think I have ever before held my breath so much during a movie. This one finally lived up to the "impossible" name. Nail-biting, explosive and funny. Very violent though. And don't see it in IMAX if you're afraid of heights. (Or do. It's that good.)

There are no surprises to this film. It is simply a mindless, improbable, action flick with fun stunts, cool gadgets and special effects, and relatively poor acting. But that doesn't mean it's not worth a watch. I found the film to be entertaining.

I've rated the film as a high PG-13 because it is, essentially, a non-stop fight scene. There is plenty of violence in the movie, though none of it is particularly graphic.

This wasn't my favorite Mission Impossible movie, but it gave the same entertainment that the rest have to this point. The action was unbelievable many times, but if you expect that going into the movie, it'll be more fun. The story line was alright, nothing great. Just the same old over the top, unbelievable Mission Impossible movie.

The best of all the Mission Impossible movies! I can watch it over and over again. Full of suspense and action as you would expect. Obviously it has violence but it is handled fairly well. It is a great ride!

MI: Ghost Protocol is the perfect blend of incredible stunts, clever plotting, and wise–guy humor. The set pieces for the action, including the vertigo–inducing Burj Dubai, are an eyeful, and the movie’s 133 minute running time seems to fly by faster than a tape can self–destruct. If you can understand the plot, that’s just a bonus... See Full Review

This is the best Mission Impossible movie since the original. Put aside your feelings about Tom Cruise and watch this action packed, fun action movie. There is some profanity and violence, but overall the show is definitely worth a watch.

I have loved all the mission impossibles, but this one might be the best. Tom Cruise does another great job saving the world. I continue to be impressed by the new stunts, locations and impossible scenarios they come up with. The action is great and there is nothing that I would really be nervous about my kids seeing. I recommend it with three out of four stars.

I liked this movie, but I did go into it not expecting very much and that was probably a good thing. There was nothing overly spectacular about this one, but it was still fun. The acting wasn't that great, but enough is going on that you don't really think about that. Also, while there was a lot of violence I don't remember ever seeing any blood or gore.
While I liked it, it probably won't be on my re-watch list anytime soon.

Brad Bird proved that he can do "the Incredibles" style action with real actors and practical effects. While I enjoyed 3 a bit better than "Ghost Protocol," there's no question MI4 is a fine addition to the franchise and one of the best action films of 2011.

Some unforgettable action sequences make this movie memorable. The gut-churning scene atop the building in Dubai, followed by the chase in a sandstorm, were particularly good. There are quite a few deaths via gunshot, though, and I would take the PG-13 rating seriously.

See it on IMAX- simply amazing! Of the four MI flicks, only MI:2 disappointed me. This one was easily one of, if not THE, best.

Might just be the best picture and sound I have ever seen on a Blu-Ray. Also the story is as good as the first MI and maybe even better. If you have a home theater system this is a MUST see. True 7.1 surround sound

Tom Cruise, despite being 51 years old (!) is still a very believable action star. This newest film in the M:I franchise is pretty slick. It’s still not as good as the original, but it’s probably the next best. It’s also the first live action film directed by animation expert Brad Bird (director of the Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille). Sadly, it wasn’t also written by Brad Bird, who also wrote those other films. His skills as a director are plenty, but he’s also an excellent writer. Had he been allowed to write the script for this film I think it could have been the greatest Mission: Impossible film of them all. As it is, it’s only the best looking film in the series. The effects and action look outstanding. There are several jaw-dropping action scenes. The plotting is very simple: Tom Cruise explains the next impossible task to his team, they go there and do it, find out what the next thing they need to do is, and then repeat that sequence until they finally catch up to the bad guy. The film is very exciting, though, and features one pretty amazing scene that takes place in Dubai at the recently-completed Burj Kalifa – the new tallest building in the world.

There is some violence in the film (though nothing as grisly as what M:I 3 had) and there is no sexual content and not much language.

I enjoy the MI movies. They are suspenseful and enjoyable to watch. I like the drama and storyline. You know that they are going to succeed but it is a fun ride to to watch them get there with or without collateral damage. This movie was as good as the others in the series.

Like Tom Cruise himself, you'd think these movies would start to get old - the music, the masks, the insane stunts. But this installment is worth the trip to Redbox, proving that these elements are still exciting.

The errors of the second movie long forgotten, this one mirrors what worked in the first and third films, including the compelling complications that emerge when all those fancy spy skills go awry. This is less about showing off and more about making sure the audience cares what happens to this group of characters.

No doubt director Brad Bird is at least partially to thank for that family dynamic, having proved said chops with Disney/Pixar's "The Incredibles." While the violence in this film keeps it from being as kid friendly, it retains the combination of action and humor, with no more convoluted of a plot than can be wrapped up agreeably in 135 minutes.

I thought this movie was one of the best, but in my opinion the careful, thought out plot of the first movie remains unmatched. This movie consisted of a lot of impossible action scenes and a decent plot. I really like the fact that there were no sex scenes.

Ghost Protocol is the best of the Mission:Impossible series, in my opinion. It had action, a compelling storyline, and I enjoyed the acting. Some parts were predictable, but overall, I walked out having been thoroughly entertained.
