It's reminiscent of Poltergeist but not nearly the scale. I loved the low budget feel and the lack of crazy digital effects. I thought it was a pretty good time.

Most horror movies if any these days aren't really going to live up to the previews. However with that being said, there are some cinematic scenes that are pretty creepy and at least the idea was something a bit different.

I had to think long and hard if i wanted to give this a like or not. I decided to like it because I think the first hour of this film is really good. James Wan in my opinion is the best out director out there now days for scary movies. He is able to set a creepy moods and is very good at pacing. The last half hour the film kind of takes a weird turn and almost ruins the movie, but most scary movies have a hard time with the third act and making a good ending. The scariness of this film definitely makes this film not appropriate for the kids unless you want them having nightmares. So, overall if you are scary movie type of person, I think it is worth checking out.

No Maturity Rating | Not Worth Your Time

The movie deserves credit for turning some everyday objects into spooky devices, like a tin can telephone that becomes a conduit for a rude awakening during a child’s sleep. But the involvement of children in this story will almost certainly make this a nightmare generator for young audiences. For older teens and adults, there’s little here of artistic or moral value to make the film worth your time... See Full Review

I am continually amazed that I am talked into watching horror films. That being said, this movie didn't scare me after it was over. There were a few jumpy moments, but I didn't find the plot line very intriguing and found myself rather bored during parts. Overall, not a movie I would recommend or watch again if I'm coerced into watching another horror movie.
