The world of Conan has always been set as dark, magical, brutal, and unforgiving. This movie holds to that general theme and successfully puts together the type of experience you would expect from a Conan film. There are no Oscar-worthy acting performances or surprising plot twists (or much plot depth at all), but for those who enjoy a two hour escape into a primitive sword-and-sorcery world ruled by the strong and the ruthless, you could do worse. I don't think I would actively recommend this movie to anyone, but I've seen it twice and will probably see it again in the future. Perhaps it's just because I enjoy the idea of a solitary, unbeatable, barbarian warrior and his adventures.
Maturity-wise, this movie includes many things that nobody needs to be exposed to seeing. There is blood, extensive violence, and a small bit of female topless nudity.July 14th, 2012 Details -
