If you're not already a fan of the series, you're really better off just sitting this one out. To an even greater extent than previous "Twilight" movies, "Breaking Dawn Part 2" really seems geared only towards people who have read the books and developed attachments with these characters. For them, at least, this will likely be a satisfying--and maybe even emotional--final installment. Except for the last 20 minutes of vampire-on-vampire action, though, there's not a whole lot for the average moviegoer to enjoy. One more thing: "Breaking Dawn Part 2" pushes its PG-13 rating pretty hard. There are quite a few beheadings and dismemberments that, although bloodless, probably don't belong in a movie being seen by 12-year-olds. There's also a fairly steamy sex scene that might raise a few eyebrows.

And finally, the saga comes to an end. I never read the books but have watched all the movies and was waiting to see how it ended. I liked how Bella's character developed and how she became braver, smarter and not just wining all the time. Becoming a mother and a vampire suited her well. I liked all the other vampire characters that were brought in and the battle as well, although it was pretty gory. I liked how everything fell into place at the end. This movie is definitely less cheesy than the previous ones.

I had no desire to watch any of these movies after the first one because the cheesiness and drawn out affection makes me really uncomfortable, but as chance would have it, somehow I ended up with premiere tickets every time a new one came out and who would pass up free premiere tickets? Anyway, I really hated part one and vowed to never watch another one again, but a year can dim the memory I guess because I went to see part two and I actually liked it. I could have done without the sex scene, but Bella was finally not just an annoying girl anymore, I liked the battle scene, I liked the other characters they brought in, I really liked the actors that played Reneesme (though I don't care for the name) and Edward was actually funny in it and not constantly looking like he was in tortured pain. All in all I had a good time watching this and in my opinion it was the best out of all of them.

It’s an ending to a four-book and five-movie series that will keep those who have read the books on their toes but still satisfy as one of the more action-packed and exciting of the Twilight movies. It truly earns its PG-13 rating. Bella and Edward show that they are still newlyweds who are very much in love and attracted physically to each other. They're also seen throughout the movie is the messy business of destroying vampires by beheadings, burning and other equally violent methods... See full review

The finale was entertaining to say the least. Much better than all the movies leading up to it, Bella isn't terrible to watch and in general, a lot less cheese. This was a great interpretation of the book. The only sex scene was short and didn't make me blush nearly as much as the last movie which makes it more appropriate for a younger audience. The violence is not bloody or graphic, again making it more enjoyable and appropriate. Totally worth your tome especially if you've read the books!

I read the "Twilight" series and became severely disengaged half-way through the fourth book and never finished it. "Breaking Dawn" was too self-indulgent, too weird, and the story was too old at that point to keep my interest. The movie suffers from these same problems and from many other flaws. One is the cheesy special effects employed when trying to portray the vampires' super-human abilities. Another, and this one is egregious, is the unrealistic-looking CGI baby. What ever happened to finding actors at different ages that look similar? The ultimate downfall of this movie is that it is number 5 in a series. All the intrigue surrounding vampirism, werewolves, and the Volturi is gone, and the movie is left to rely on nothing but the story, which was never a strength for this franchise. I did like how the film treated the climactic encounter with the antagonists at the end. In the book this scene was a huge let down, and this film made it the most exciting part of the story. The sexuality between the 2 newly married vampires is uncomfortable, and there was a somewhat tame sex scene that extended way too far. For these reasons I would not feel good about recommending this movie for kids under 17. As an adult, I was not horribly offended. There was also a lot of decapitation of vampires. It was bloodless, yet violent, and would be very scary for children. There was one scene with fighting that involved death, and seemed inappropriate for children under 15.

The cg baby was pathetic. The end was ok, if you can manage to make it through the first half hour.

Good ending to the series. Contains vampire violence with battles that include graphic decapitations. Stewart and Pattinson have got to be the luckiest bad actors in the world. They lucked out being cast in a movie that was wildly popular in spite of their terrible acting. Lautner is just a mediocre actor, but he seems very good in comparison.

I have never been a big fan of the Twilight series and this movie made me dislike it even more. The plot is messy and not well explained at all. The effects are okay and at times entertaining but the highlight is definitely the digital baby that can be easily noticed by anyone. Overall I am glad they won't be making more movies. ( What a relief )

No matter what your level of Twilight fanship is, you’ll likely be pleasantly surprised with this one. It starts up really slow but ends with a bigger bang than the lackluster book did. Twi-hards will be stunned and excited. Twi-haters will enjoy some action and be thrilled when the whole thing is over... See Full Review

It was great as a finale to the Twilight series. However, it's clear they pushed for a PG-13 so the teen set could still buy tickets; it should be rated R. There is way more sex portrayed than should be (in my opinion Ms. Meyer should be ashamed). Lots of bare skin and, near the end of the film, lots of violence. Though it is rewarding to see -SPOILER!- the Volturi killed, it's very gruesome at the same time. Also, the use of CGI to create the vampire baby was ridiculous. It just made Reneesme (dumbest name ever conceived!) look incredibly creepy, instead of breathtakingly beautiful as she is described. Note to the film-makers: insert real baby here. Note to parents: Do not let your children watch this movie.

First half was very funny, but not in a good way. Second half was actually half decent, I was almost tempted to give it a thumbs up but I just can't do it. My favorite part was when dracula boy was laughing at wolf boy when Bella was beating him up.

I love this movie and this entire series, but there's no way I'd let my teenager watch it. There's a pretty big event at the climax of the movie that is rather traumatic for true fans and for the young or very empathetic. Intense sex scene and nudity. Actors and actresses all did a tremendous job though. Must-see for true fans, but leave the little ones with the babysitter.

No surprises in the violence category, given the previous episodes in the series. The sexuality in this and the last one have me calling this a "mature audiences only" show. I'm not a reader of the books. So, I thought the ending was good.

It was probably the "best" out of the franchise. There were some sultry "sex" scenes. If you read the book, it is pretty much like the book, but just a visual. The fight seen was a bit graphic as well. As for story and entertaining I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't pay to see it again.

We’ve spent a lot of time with these characters and it is good to see a satisfying resolution to their story... An epic battle in which vampires and werewolves unite is more fun to watch than sappy vamp love in the 'Twilight' finale...should keep the customers satisfied...starts slowly with risible dialogue, but picks up in the second hour during an action-packed battle...Special effects -- particularly the computer-generated wolves -- look surprisingly second-rate. Worse are the bad screenplay, lackluster performances and turgid pacing. Lautner's abs are the only taut thing about this tween-centered soap opera...Amid the action are sweet moments...Fans of the series, which has made more than $2 billion worldwide, will no doubt find it all terribly romantic and deeply meaningful. Stewart's acting hasn't improved, and the dialogue remains laughable. Bad actress, bad lines. Bad combination....(For the record, at my screening Lautner got the most cheers, Pattinson slightly less; when Stewart’s face appeared the audience laughed.)...Ultimately “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2” is probably the best ending we could have hoped for, in that it isn’t great by any means, but, as anyone who saw the films that came before it can attest, it could have been a lot worse... It's deflating, a desperate attempt to make the finale of Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga more cinematic while remaining reasonably faithful to the book...I'm not a religious man but, Hallelujah! I may not be done with Meyer but at least I'll never again have to cope with the angst, self-absorption, and vampire mythology mutilation...Breaking Dawn Part 2 starts out slowly with a smattering of comedy, proceeds to sputter when it should be picking up steam, provides a rousing 20-minute pseudo-finale, then crashes and burns in unspectacular fashion...From start to finish, Breaking Dawn Part 2 struggles with pacing issues...The best thing I can say about Breaking Dawn Part 2 is that the end credits mean I'll never have to watch a vampire sparkle again... LOVED this movie. Great way to spend your time! Though, the love scene is not for children. Nor is the fight scene. Love the twist in the story. I am going to miss the saga now that it is over. Must own all the movies so I may watch them again and again!
