Wow! What can I say about Warm Bodies?

Warm Bodies is about a zombie, or corpse as they are called by the remaining human population, named R. R is more aware of existing than his other zombie counterparts making him different from the start. While hunting for food aka people, R meets Julie and the two develop a relationship that changes everything in the human and corpse world.

Did I mention that this movie was incredible? Ok, in all reality it’s not an incredible, drop everything now and go see it, film but it was better than I expected it to be. The story focuses on love since R has a huge crush on Julie and shows that it only takes a small event to change an entire picture. The movie has a Grinch-like feel to it as R goes through a change that starts his heart beating. It highlights the awkwardness of dating and getting to know someone, what it feels like to feel and most importantly how to follow what you love. The movie is weird though because R eats Julie’s boyfriend’s brain and gets all of his memories and throughout the film, R munches on brain.

The script was very well written and delivered punch lines at great times. Warm Bodies features a fairly young cast who were all great. I look forward to seeing their movie careers progress in the future.

The cast was led by Nicholas Holt who played R. Holt was absolutely phenomenal and, considering that zombies don’t talk, acted through body language in ways I didn’t even know were possible. I wondered how it would all play out but Holt’s facial expressions tied everything together and helped with the thoughts that R shared with the audience. R is a lovable character in his awkward dead way. He collects old records and knick knacks making him pretty hipster and the commentary that he gives throughout the film shows that there’s a lot more going on in his head then just craving brains.

The next stand out was Analeigh Tipton. Analeigh was the babysitter in Crazy, Stupid, Love and was just as good in this movie as she was then. She played Nora, who is Julie’s best friend and delivered one liners like they were going out of style. She is easily the best person to quote after you’ve seen it. Tipton showed great comedic timing and depth when the character provided it.

This is definitely a “go see” movie. It’s funny and smart albeit a little weird and quirky but isn’t life like that? I predict that Warm Bodies will be the Pitch Perfect of the winter months so go and see it before everyone starts quoting it.

I actually thought this was a funny movie. The dialog inside the head of the main zombie character is great and makes the movie. For a zombie movie it is pretty tame. It really is a romantic comedy using the zombie theme.

Like all zombie movies it isn't at all realistic but go and enjoy the fun.

I kinda like this. I hate to admit it. This is great movie to rent. It may not be the best movie, but it very enjoyable. Nicholas Hoult plays a scary and kind zombie, but if you like zombie movies I am not sure if you will like this because of the whole love story.

This is different from any other movie I've ever seen. It has it's particularly strange and almost morbid moments that are instantly lightened by some humor or awkward moments of zombie/human flirtations and love.

It had it's humor, romance, and taps well into the zombie lover community. Nicholas Hoult did a good job as the main character and zombie. Fun show, albeit quirky and peculiar.

I personally loved this movie. Instead of being a zombie horror it was more like a zombie action/comedy/romance. Very unique. Very awesome!

My husband and I saw this movie before it came out to theaters and we loved it. I didn't know what to expect at all, but the internal monologue was putting us in stitches laughing. I loved the twist on how zombies were portrayed, especially with all of the current zombie things out (ie: Walking Bead) I could have done without the random profanity here and there, but it wasn't enough to take away from the movie as a whole. The bonies were pretty scary so I wouldn't recommend it for young children.

Warm Bodies was funny. It had good zombie action without super graphic gore. Plus, they added an explanation for why zombies eat brains. The love story was cute. There is one f-bomb. Good date movie.

Not outstanding, but definitely not as bad as a zombie rom-com might sound at first. The cast is mostly likable -- Analeigh Tipton, in particular, steals the show as Nora, Teresa Palmer's character's BFF -- and it's got some good moments of humor.

Unfortunately, it is really predictable, especially if you've watched a lot of romantic comedies or seen any of the trailers (which prominently feature shots from the very end of the movie... thanks, marketing guys!). An even bigger issue for me, though, as a horror fan, is its kind of goofy lack of internal logic and the wonky rules for zombies vs. "Bonies."

    Kinda dumb, but occasionally fun.

I was disappointed in the amount of swearing in the movie. At one point the main zombie says three S words in a row (he was watching the main female undress). A short time later another zombie says the F word. I really wish movie directors would not put F words in PG-13 movies. Swearing for no other reason than to swear is very distracting and it really ruins the experience for me

What I really liked about Warm Bodies was it was an original idea that deals with Zombies which is hard to do. It was really clever story and it is unexpectedly a more of a romance film (with gore) than a Zombie movie. The pacing sometimes was a little slow but the overall story and the chemistry between the two main characters keep you actively engaged in the film. Definitely worth watching once.
There is a fair amount of gore and profanity that make this film well deserving of the PG-13 rating.

Wonderful film! It is both touching and funny. It follows a very simple, basic line, but it is fun in its simplicity. Hottie alert - who would have thought the awkward boy from "About a Boy" would grow up to be so adorable?

The main actress, Teresa Palmer looks uncannily like Kristen Stewart, but don't worry. Unlike Stewart, Palmer actually has talent and a personality.

This film is a friendlier addition to the new Zombie craze and a must see. And the best part is the KILLER soundtrack. Worth buying!

There was a bit of blood in this movie. It was also a little bit violent. That's what happens with most zombie movies. However, when there is blood it is shown already on the zombie or person. It was a cute romantic comedy with the narrative inside the main character's head, and it is cool to watch him become more and more human.

This show is very original. Its like a zombie chick flick. That being said, people who like zombie movies and people who like chick flicks will both be satisfied.

Im not a huge "zombie movie" type of guy. But this took a different spin on it. The zombies had great sense of humor and were a bit awkward at times. There are some gruesome areas in the movie, but nothing that made me squirm. I would recommend this movie. Its good and very different. Thumbs up.

Warm Bodies is a fun movie if you are into zombies and humans. In this movie you will finally know how defeat those zombies that have been lurking around your house. I also thought the plot was good with the humans learning how to get along with the dead. One thing I would change would be adding in a few more zombie attacks! I wouldn't mind if the Boonies were able to put up more of a fight. Overall I enjoyed the movie.

While Warm Bodies is very clever and funny, I would not recommend it due to some of the content. Being a movie about zombies, it does have some gore and violence, but they did show restraint in that regard. What was annoying to me was all of the profanity, a lot of it done for laughs. If you do decide to watch Warm Bodies, know what you're getting in to.

Zombie movies seem to be a dime a dozen these days. So, when "Warm Bodies" first started promoting itself a lot of people thought, "Well, here we go again." While that initial sentiment was fair, what isn't fair is to call this another zombie film. The new twist on the genre is going to appeal to both men and women. See my full review here on ksl.com.

I read an article that referred to this as the first "ZomRomCom"- and that's DEAD ON! The movie was about zombies- main plotline. But the twists and turns, as well as the interaction between zombies/zombie, zombie/human, human/human have some very comic moments. The romantic theme was at first interesting, then compelling, and one finds oneself cheering and pulling for the hero and heroine.

Language overall wasn't bad, but the need to include one "f-bomb" just escapes me- without that this movie wouldn't have any issues as far as I'm concerned. That said, it's a great movie, and I'd recommend it highly. Might be a great Valentine's Day date night outing!
