Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
As Adm. James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and Capt. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) monitor trainees at Starfleet Academy, another vessel from the United Federation of Planets is about to try out the planet-creating Genesis Device in a seemingly deserted portion of space. In the process, two of Kirk's officers are captured by Khan (Ricardo Montalban), an enemy Kirk thought he'd never see again. Once more, Kirk takes the Enterprise's helm, where he meets Khan's ship in an intergalactic showdown.

KHAN!!! This movie might be the best movie of all time. OK, it's not that good, but it's pretty darn entertaining. The cockroaches in the ears were definitely memorable, and Kirk totally buffaloes Khan with the old "switch off your opponent's shield" trick at the end. Ricardo Montalban also showed off some impressive guns with his shirtless vest look, plus he had the 'roid rage to go right along with it. Kirstie Alley is also beautifully emotionless as a vulcan being hit on by Kirk. Belated Oscars all around for this one.February 20th, 2013 · Details
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is my favorite Star Trek movie, although Star Trek IV is a very close second. You don't have to have seen the first Star Trek movie to see this one. This movie is based off of an episode from the original TV series where the superhuman Khan, played marvelously by Ricardo Montalban, attempts to take over the Enterprise and kill Captain Kirk. Set years later, The Wrath of Khan focuses on Khan's exiled band being found by accident, and Khan's attempt at revenge on Captain Kirk. There is action, strategy, and drama. It all adds up to a fantastic movie! I rated this for 10+ only because younger kids probably wouldn't find the movie interesting. There are sequences of violence, and there is some blood. There is nothing inappropriate in this movie by way of sexual themes or strong language. Be warned: If you watch this movie, you'll likely want to watch Star Trek III and Star Trek IV to get resolution on the storyline started here.April 13th, 2013 · Details

Khan! Khaaaaan! William Shatner's finest moment. Ricardo Montalban is over the top, but it's a good cheesy blast from the 80's.March 30th, 2011 · Details
