No Maturity Rating | Worth Your Time

Coraline is a beautifully animated, haunting piece that is best served around Halloween time. Bruno Coulais' score is a perfect compliment to the eerie atmosphere, and director Henry Selick manages to capture some of that dark, whimsical energy he became famous for with "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Definitely not for everyone, a bit long, and possibly too creepy for the youngsters. Also, the naked old ladies are a bit much... maybe a lot too much. But if you're willing to hit skip on that scene, this is a movie ready to be embraced by the right audience.

This movie was disturbing. I watched it with my adult family and we all wanted our time spent watching it back. It's one of those films that doesn't necessarily have anything BAD in it, but just leaves you with a bad creepy feeling.

The previews made this movie look really quirky and interesting. But instead it was creepy, dark, and offensive--not to mention confusing. I hated every minute of it.
