On the lush alien world of Pandora live the Na'vi, beings who appear primitive but are highly evolved. Because the planet's environment is poisonous, human/Na'vi hybrids, called Avatars, must link to human minds to allow for free movement on Pandora. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paralyzed former Marine, becomes mobile again through one such Avatar and falls in love with a Na'vi woman (Zoe Saldana). As a bond with her grows, he is drawn into a battle for the survival of her world.

12 ft blue dances with wolves in space. There, now you know the whole movie. Sigourney Weaver should stick to killing aliensMay 5th, 2013 · Details
This epic film was fun to watch. Another quality family film. You have to admire the creativity of James Cameron, although he did recreate the plot of Pocahontus. I recommend it.April 5th, 2013 · Details
A thinly disguised political statement in which the 'evil military' ruled over by the 'greedy corporation' attempts to destroy the 'perfect and peaceful natives' in order to destroy nature and steal natural resources. While the world is fawning over the special effects of this movie, it feeds our children dangerous falsehoods about life.February 15th, 2011 · Details
Yeah the story is almost exactly like Pocahontas and is a little weak, but you cannot deny it is a pretty awesome looking movie! Great battle scenes too! 2.75/4June 5th, 2014 · Details
The visuals in this movie were stunning. That being said it was long, far too long. However, I did enjoy it and would watch it again if I had a lot of time to kill.March 15th, 2013 · Details
Quite intriguing and visually brilliant. There were some parts of the movie I didn't like, including a sexual scene (no full nudity). The bothersome part is that the natives are basically naked the entire film but only covered up by makeup and some very basic articles of clothing. It's not something that's arousing, but it might peak curiosity for kids elsewhere. The actors do a great job and it definitely appeals the emotions at times. It's a bit long. It makes you appreciate the detail and time it takes to make a movie look this good. The overall plot will bother you and make you feel like humans are the scum of the entire universe, which, in this film, they are. I think it's worth seeing once.August 7th, 2012 · Details
Best thing about it: Most phenomenal, visually astounding movie to date. Worst thing about it: Most liberal politically loaded Sci-fi I have ever seen. This makes all the Star Trek movies, combined, look ultra conservative. This gets a Low 'R' rating from me for brief alien sex, intense graphic violence and excessive swearing. Only watch this if you like eye-candy and are a left-leaning in your views.August 22nd, 2011 · Details
Good flick. Beautiful special effects that really take you to another world. Some intense parts that give it a hard PG-13. Don't get caught up in what the movie is suppose to portray and just enjoy a good movie.June 7th, 2011 · Details
