Kung Fu Panda 2
Now known as the Dragon Warrior, Po (Jack Black) protects the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, the Furious Five. However, a dangerous villain threatens Po's awesome new life with plans to use a secret weapon to wipe out the martial art and conquer China. I was delighted and pleased with this sequel to the popular 'Kung fu Panda'. Despite the light-heartedness of the movie, the very serious part of Po finding out who he really is and where he came form should resonate with most audiences. All of us at one time or another ask the same questions Po does in this film. Superb story telling at its very best. The humor produced by Po's interaction with his surrogate father is very hilarious as well.

Epicly good movie liked it better than the first. Three people die in this a rhino (off-screen), a wolf (knife to the chest albeit from far away, and the bad guy (gets squishered).

Was going to have "guys' night" and see a different flick; but a friend's little daughter came with and we saw this instead. SO GLAD WE DID! It was fantastic. Normally, I would wait to rent animated movies. But this was well worth the price of admission to see on the silver screen. Very positive message, and Dreamworks TRULY outdid themselves on this animation---WOW!!

This is one of those rare sequels that is as good as, or better than, the original. It might not be as light-hearted and funny as the first film, but the story is considerably more fleshed out, and it’s far more dramatic. Shifu doesn’t have as much to do in this film, but Tigress and Po’s dad get bigger parts and it’s nice to see their characters get a little more development. Learning about Po’s past makes this film a bit darker than the original, but there are plenty of comedic moments to keep the story really fun. This is a very well-made film, and in many ways an improvement over the original.
The evil peacock in this film is kind of scary for little kids. The fight scenes are fun and not offensive at all.May 28th, 2012 Details -

I did not like the first Panda movie so going into this one I didn't expect much. But to my surprise I LOVED IT!! I think they toned down Jack Black a little so you don't get tired of him by the end. Very funny, good lines, good animation, and a pretty good story. GO SEE!

Surprisingly... Better than the first one. I rarely enjoy sequels, especially studio line-item ones like you might expect this one to be, but the story is tender and the message important for young kids - we always stand on the shoulders of others when we are successful.

I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. The voice acting was superb and the choreography for the fight scenes? Friggin amazing! After a year of mediocre animated movies this one easily rises above the rest.

I watched this with my 5-year-old son and we both loved it. We are both fans of Kung Fu Panda 1. This movie lives up to the quality of the first. It was funny and heart warming. Parents should just know that there is a ton of fighting, a lot of fire, some mild potty humor, and a couple of deaths. Can't wait for the 3rd Kung Fu Panda!

I liked the first "Kung Fu Panda" better, but this one is still good. I think it has a nice message and there is good action. I am also a fan of Jack Black, so that makes it more entertaining. It's worth seeing at least once.
