Alex, Marty and the original Madagascar crew is together again and they’re trying to get back to the New York City zoo that they have started to miss. They all end up joining a traveling circus that is hoping to end up back in the United States, but will they ever make it back to the States before the circus animals find out they aren’t really who they say they are? Will they all get caught by the crazy animal control officer who’s been meaning to add a lion to her collection?... See Full Review

This is just another dumb Madagascar movie. It's a shame that we continue to support films such as these that just produce more bad animated films. Kids will like it, and some grown-ups too. It's just not worth MY time.

I agree with others that this is the best of the three movies. I wasn't wild about the first two, but I really enjoyed this one.

The whole family loved this movie. It is a funny show! As always the penguins are a riot! It showed kids that if don't succeed to get back on the horse and try again!

This was my favorite of the 3 movies in the Madagascar franchise, mostly because the jokes were spot on. The plot was similar to the other 2 movies, with friendship being a main theme. My kids loved it too.

There isn't much to be concerned about your kids seeing.

Such a fun movie, a little violent to the poor animals, might freak out younger kids.

Probably the best of the bunch. Lot of funny scenes and I thought the end was exactly what needed to happen for this family friendly film.

Worth watching if you have kids up to about 8 or 9, after that it might not be very entertaining.

This may sound like a silly complaint in a movie that features talking animals, penguins who fly planes and tigers who jump through a flaming hoop the size of a wedding ring, but "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" just isn't realistic enough... plot devices and developments appear out of nowhere, in a throw-it-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks approach. It's silly, and it's lazy. And yet, again, it's pretty funny... Read full review here

...the best of the series, bright, fresh, fun, and funny, with a terrific script... the circus setting is colorful and engaging, the action scenes are cleverly choreographed and briskly paced, and there is plenty for both children and their parents to laugh at... you can be sure that the movie has some confidence and personality, not be the usual bland bore... Parents should know that this film has cartoon-style peril, action, and violence, fire, animal tracker uses tranquilizer darts and other weapons, brief potty humor... Read full review here

With movies, the phrase “third time’Äôs the charm” rarely holds true. The newest installment in the “ÄúMadagascar” franchise, though, proves the exception. Thanks to its talented cast and a script bursting at the seams with manic wit (courtesy of frequent Wes Anderson collaborator Noah Baumbach), “ÄúMadagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted” is slight and inconsequential, but also completely infectious and fun. Even the most curmudgeonly audience members will likely be tapping their feet during the film's final circus number. Most importantly, though, “ÄúMadagascar 3”Äù shows that there is a way to make animated movies without just aping Disney and Pixar. Parents could definitely do worse than accompany their kids to movies like this.
