Despite their vastly different backgrounds -- Charles grew up with a wealthy family, while Erik lost his parents at Auschwitz -- the two become close friends. X-Men totally kicks butt. Jennifer Lawrence and Lucas Till are my favorite characters in the movie. The movie is a fun action flick that will keep your eyes glued to the TV.

Magneto, bullets and questionable ethics don't mix with sensitive kids, but I'm a sucker for an origin story, particularly such a good one.

Every X-Men movie has flat out rocked. They are all good. Still waiting on the sequel to X-Men United, but whatever. I do know that they have casted and are writing the story for the sequel to First Class. So that one should be pretty good.

Great X-Men movie as it delves into how the crew got together and further developed their powers.

One actress has cleavage the entire movie and there is a scene at a strip club/casino joint that shows women in lingerie. As for family values, those parts could have been done away with and are a bit bothersome.

As for entertainment, it's got a great story with great action and it's entertaining to say the least. It's great to see how things all started with Professor X and Magnito.

dumb. I loved the first 2 xmen movies. I thought this one was dumb.

The best of the X-Men movies. Loved the backstory. Definitely earned a high PG-13 given the violence, language and sexuality.

There is one scene that shows a scantly clad woman sitting on top of a clothed man.

This was a good as other action-packed fanasy movies -- though that might not be saying much, if you're not into that genre. Character development was lacking. I was left wondering why some of the mutants made the choices they did.

Great movie with themes of staying true to yourself and not try to change yourself to please others.

  • ages 16+ | Not Worth Your Time

Lots and lots of very risque lingerie at the beginning. Lots of sexual inuendo throughout and immodesty. Stay away from this one. Disappointing after the first 2 or 3 xmen movies which we loved. We won't be seeing any more of them ever again. Plus it wasn't the best they've had. Kind of some dumb stuff in this one.

Solid film. Leaps and bounds better than the first 3 X-Men movies. Also better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

  • ages 13+ | Worth Your Time

It was an entertaining violent super hero movie.

  • ages 14+ | Worth Your Time

I found this to be an enjoying movie, but there was A LOT of under dressed women in this movie so beware. I mean how many strip clubs did they go to? Just saying. It is violent with darker themes.

  • ages 14+ | Worth Your Time

A terrific story that's a far better prequel than most, X-Men contains significant personal violence, including scenes of torture and Holocaust depravity. There's also a vulgar sexual scene. Definitely not for kids or those with tender sensibilities.

Perhaps second only to the original X-men movie, this movie marks a return to the core material that enchanted fans of the comicbook. While it would be easy for a purist to pick apart the inconsistencies, especially the inclusion or exclusion of particular characters, the director's choices are compelling and strongly contribute to the overall cohesion of the story. In spite of spectacular abilities, the audience is quickly drawn into the richly defined hero characters

Pretty good superhero film. Character development was mostly well-done, special effects were good without drawing too much attention to themselves (most of the time). I recommend it, but at the same time don't go expecting to be blown away, because... well, no movie is perfect.

The first impression I got from this movie is that it's very long. Be ready to sit in place for two and a half hours when you go. Secondly, there is a lot of storyline covered in this movie, all on the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The characters of Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique are developed very well and help really draw one into the whole franchise. Unfortunately, is appears that there is rarely a moment in the movie when women aren't half naked. Conversely, the violence in the movie is very tame and there is no gore whatsoever.

I really liked this. I think it might be my favorite of the X-Men films.

Definitely worth your time. Fine film, very well acted.

If you liked the other X-Men movies you will like this. Very well done, gives a great back ground on many of the characters events that take place in the other movies.

I really enjoyed this movie! I liked the plot, since I like the beginnings of stories from comics. The actors were great, the special effects were well done and overall it has a good message. However, I did rate it a high PG-13 because of the violence, profanity (way to go Hugh Jackman) and some nudity. I would not take kids to watch it.

Best X-Men movie yet! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • ages 13+ | Not Worth Your Time

    More sexual scenes than expected.

  • ages 12+ | Worth Your Time

LOVED THIS MOVIE!! I think the super hero movies are back to the greatness they used to be as we've seen with Thor and now X-men First Class. Definitely one I would go see again and again. Good plot, acting was great, and the special effects/music were very pleasing as well.

  • ages 14+ | Worth Your Time

This movie rocked! Probably the most well written of the series and the most fun since X-Men 2. My wife and I both loved it. We thought it would be really good but it was many times better than we expected. Best movie I have seen this year or the last few years. Incredibly great movie!

  • ages 14+ | Worth Your Time

Very violent movie, one brief moment of strong language, and several women wear next to nothing (or nothing in Mystique's case), but the movie itself is very good. I recommend it, but please leave you kids at home.

This was a pretty good film. Wolverine was definitely done right. A little disappointed that Rogue was made a teen in this. As far as I know she was always a full grown woman in the comics. Stewart was a great Xavier. Berry as Storm felt a little weak. They got the perfect people for Cyclops and Jean. This is a guy-flick so it is loaded with violence. I give it a low 'R' rating because the Shape shifter woman was way too risque. I suppose the excuse was that she was painted blue. Still too much for a mere PG-13. Despite this, it was a fantastic film.
